About the role
As part of its Global Finance Transformation Program, Barry Callebaut is aiming at establishing best-in class Finance processes, organization and systems. In order to ensure the forward delivery of one of the key projects which is Enterprise Performance Measurement (EPM), we want to reinforce the central program team with a highly motivated and result-oriented candidate in the role of Project Manager – Enterprise Performance Measurement.
The Project Manager will manage end-to-end implementation of certain domains within EPM global project. The person will be accountable towards the Head of the project as well as indirectly to the project sponsor. In addition, the Project Manager will partner with the assigned Information Management (IM) Project manager(s), other central project team members in Governance, Change, Communication to ensure coordinated Business and IM effort.
Key responsibilities include
Define and document with the project(s) sponsor the strategic objectives and ambition of each project(s)
Drive and act as functional thought leader in the solution design elements of the project(s)
Define and document implementation and resources plan, around agreed deliverables
Establish and maintain project governance
Form and maintain the business project team and ensure engagement of SMEs
Manage and coordinate internal / external resources with the IM project lead.
Ensure project(s) delivery as per brief, with respect to scope, timeline, costs and benefits
Monitor performance and maintain effective plan to ensure project meets agreed outcome together with the PMO
Adjust approach and plans in response to progress, unanticipated factors and priorities
Manage complexity, resolve issues, control resources and deliverables
Report on status and actions, escalate for decision as appropriate
Advise Sponsor and Program Head on key decision points
Identify and advise on inter-dependencies among projects and domains
Act as an ambassador for the vision towards business stakeholders and project team
Manage stakeholder’s expectations to secure buy-in
Maintain effective relationship with stakeholders within and outside of Finance.
Ensure adequate transition and communication plans are developed and executed
Ensure delivery of documentation and training to enable adoption of change
Management Accounting related professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA, CPA or similar education) or bachelors in finance
Master degree in Economics / Finance / Business Administration complemented with knowledge in Finance (preferred)
4 to maximum 7 years of operational experience in planning, finance or other discipline in an analytic or reporting function or in FP&A / Controlling / management accounting, and reporting processes
At least 2 years of Project Management experience running key global / regional initiatives preferable of transformational nature
Proven Project /portfolio Management, continuous improvement related qualification such as PMP, CAPM or six sigma (preferred)
Affinity for information systems. SAP, SAP FC; BW, certifications in visualizations (Qlik, SAP analytics, Power BI) - preferred.
Ability to deal with complex, ambiguous or changing environments and still driving delivery keeping end goal in mind
Able to understand and appreciate different and opposing perspectives
Excellent communication skills within the project and with wider stakeholders
Experience in working with data related analytical projects specially on reporting automation, dashboards, data governance, or harmonized multi-functional dash boarding (highly desired)
Strong leadership skills in managing cross functional teams, without having direct reporting lines
Ability to influence senior stakeholders with clear communication to bring them onboard
Able to conceptualize and at the same time able to execute end to end solutions with rigor
Drive project deliveries with rigor and passion
Ability to influence the team and trigger alignment on topics
Sense of urgency, highlight and foresee issues, taking corrective action on time
Pro-active mind-set, thinking ahead with agility
Travel requirements – max 15 %
