What is Learning Design Team responsible for?

The Learning Design group at Franklin Templeton seeks a creative, detail-oriented Intern to join our global team. Our team is responsible for learning experience and content design supporting the FT Academy, US Practice Management, and Client Engagement.

In the role, you will be based in Poznan working with a globally-dispersed team of learning design professionals, reporting to a US-based leader. Our team is positioned across time zones, with members across the US, in Toronto, Canada, Mexico City, Mexico, Paris, France, and Hong Kong. As a global team, we support clients across all regions which would provide a unique opportunity for professional experience.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of an Intern?

A typical day for you could include a combination of: updating existing materials with recent industry data, versioning existing content for deployment in new locations, building an engaging presentation for use in an upcoming webinar for financial professionals, or developing self-paced instructional materials using the Articulate Rise authoring tool.

You will support a variety of projects by developing and maintaining world-class learning experiences for our customers. You will have an opportunity to get to know a variety of tools used in learning design: Articulate 360, Camtasia, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Docebo, and more.

Your role will include designing and updating materials based on outlines and according to project plan, transferring course materials into self-paced modality, and collaborating and communicating with the design team. Your ability adhere to a process, focus on detail and ability to communicate with the team are vital. An interest in the investment industry and learning design is important, as you will be working within these parameters daily.

• Able to communicate in English verbally and in writing; knowledge of other languages is a plus
• Have valid student status for the duration of internships
• Available to work 25-30 hours per week
• Have a proven record of meeting deadlines, completing projects, and organizing skills
• Can be creative while remaining on-brand
• Passionate about developing engaging presentations, videos, and web-based training modules
• Interested in learning how to bring complex information to life for adult learners
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel
• Knowledge of learning development applications (Articulate Storyline, Lectora, Captivate, Docebo) and design applications (Camtasia, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) is a plus
• Audio/video editing skills a plus
• Portfolio of work that demonstrates experience in design is a plus
