Intern can get the chance to work with 5 very experienced engineers, who work on complex finance systems - domain is complex and demanding, but still we laugh a lot :-)

Our team is quite versatile, but we focus mainly on JVM stack programming in java/groovy/kotlin - latest versions, using lots of fresh and popular java libraries: Spring Framework, Gradle, Spock Framework, many more. We also use relational databases and messaging. We have a great programming culture where unit- and integration-testing together with code review are must-have standards. We work with teammates from the USA and India. All in all - we can share our experience, but at the same time we're open for new ideas. No fluff, really!

must-have (basic level suffices):

• fluent English
• student status
• be a good team player and eager to learn
• Java programming skills, Java 8+
• SQL database knowledge - Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server, but no worries, MySQL/Postgres will also work
• knowledge of Unix/Linux
• familiar with source control systems (GIT preferred)

nice to have:

• familiar with request-response integration patterns (Web services and REST services on JSON)
• familiar with messaging integration patterns (preferred IBM MQ, but any other message broker is also welcome)
• familiar with Java Spring Framework
• familiar with any JVM language other than Java - e.g. Groovy / Kotlin / Scala
• familiar with code-review process and related tools
• eager to learn anything what's on the nice-to-have list :-)
